Hello. not sure but it could be that your dvd player does not pplay dvd+r disks. i may be totally wrong on this but just check with the manufacturer or play the disk in your friends dvd player...if nothing works this would:dvd burner for dvd-r and DVD Shrink , all you have to do is to put the original dvd and you got yourself a dvd that will play any plaer even in a different region as the copy will be region freegood luck
